Department of Tourism Organize a Sufi Musical Evening at SKICC

Srinagar- As part of the ongoing three-day Sufi festival, the Department of Tourism organized a Musical Evening at SKICC on Saturday.

The event was held on lawns dedicated to the rich musical and Sufi heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.

Famous singers performed popular Sufi numbers to the applause of the audience.

The musical evening was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta; Additional Chief Secretary for Finance, Bharadwaj, Chief Secretary for Higher Education, Rohit Kansal, VC, KVIB, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Commissioner of Kashmir Division, Pandurang K. Pole; Minister of Tourism Sarmad Hafiz, Director of Tourism of Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo, senior officials from the regional administration, tourism and higher education departments and other related departments, as well as a number of tourists and local residents also attended the musical evening.

During the evening, famous artists of Kashmir sang beautiful songs of mystical significance, as well as depicting the teachings of the Sufis and Rehs of Kashmir.
