On Thursday, Egypt finally announced to the world that it is lifting all COVID-related entry restrictions for all travelers, regardless of citizenship status.

Policy update did not say when the decision would take effect.
With today’s decision, Egypt joins dozens of other countries in lifting travel restrictions as the infection spreads around the world.
Egypt is the number 66 country to eliminate all entry requirements.
Americans, as well as foreigners from other countries, will no longer need to present:
- proof of vaccination
- Passenger Search Forms
- Testing before departure
- Recovery from COVID-19
- No testing on arrival
- No testing after arrival

Over the past few months, the number of cases in Egypt has dropped dramatically. This can certainly be attributed to Egypt’s stringent measures to contain the spread of the virus.
The average daily incidence of coronavirus and the death toll in Egypt have dropped significantly over the past few months.
