The actor released a cuvée of rosé wine, subtly named “Rose Garcia”, without going to the Gard estate that produces it.
After Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Georges Clooney, Jay-Z, Francis Cabrel, Gérard Depardieu, Francis Ford Coppola, Kylie Minogue and Tony Parker, it’s time to drink wine… Jose Garcia. And, like all of the above people, Jose Garcia sincerely loves wine. We even saw him appear on “Tellement soif”, Antoine Gerbel’s web show who is not the last to know about wine. For the second year now, José (pronounced Rosé, hence the joke) has teamed up with Les Niçois, a restaurant in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, to create an organic rosé that is sold to vintners.
And it’s quite a success: a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Caladoc, perfectly balanced and affordable (€9), in short, we feel like we’re in a box. Except that the name of the producer is not mentioned anywhere, which is a shame because it is the Château de Montfrin, in Gard: an area of 300 hectares of vineyards and olive trees, which produces between 300,000 and 400,000 bottles per year (this is a lot) in organic, including 100,000 pink varieties of Garcia. Do the math, mariachi jokes are expensive.
