Sandra Bullock doesn’t know how long her acting hiatus will last.
The 57-year-old actress admitted she’s “so burned out and tired” that she needs to take a break from filming but doesn’t know when she’ll be back.
She told The Hollywood Reporter, “I don’t want to be tied to anyone’s schedule but my own. I’m so burned out. I’m so tired and I’m so incapable of making healthy, smart decisions and I know it.”
When asked how long the break would be, she replied, “I really don’t know.”
Sandra admitted that she relied on work as a “crutch” and she needed to take a step back.
She explained, “The job has always been stable for me and I have been so lucky. I saw that it might become my crutch. I said to myself: “Stop looking for him here, because he is not here. You already have it; install it, find it and be fine if you don’t have a job to validate you.”
And Sandra says that producing The Lost City with Lisa Chasin was a great way to “go out with a bang.”
She said, “I love working with artists and that’s why Lisa and I are a very good match. If I’m leaving with a bang, I want to date the right person.”
