KATHMANDU, June 11: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has appointed Swatantra Pratap Shah as Tourism Ambassador of Nepal to Australia.
His tenure as ambassador will be two years. A decision was made recently at a ministerial meeting. Ministry Joint Secretary Hom Prasad Luitel presented Shah with a letter of appointment for today’s event.
It is reported that the newly appointed ambassador will work with the Nepalese embassy and stakeholders to promote tourism. The ministry also expects it to play an important role in promoting tourism in the country.
A teacher and hotel business, Shah from Kalimati in the Achkham district is the president of the International Federation of Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs. He also served as Vice President of the Nepalese Non-Resident Association in Australia.
