Travel Opportunities Available for Dallas ISD Students

ISD Dallas Department of Social Studies, in partnership with ECHO Education and EF Explore America, is excited to offer our students the opportunity to travel in the 2022-2023 academic year! We believe visiting attractions in our state and across the country is vital to ensuring fair education.

By providing deliberate support and growth opportunities in the social sciences, we know that our students will be critical thinkers, civics, and connected around the world.

Opportunities are available for elementary, middle and high school students!

Through ECHO Education, 4th and 7th grade students of Texas history can travel to Austin to visit the Texas State Capitol and the Bullock Museum of Texas History. Through the EF Explore America program, 8th grade and high school US history students can travel to Washington, DC to visit our nation’s capital. Finally, students in ethnic studies courses such as African American Studies and Mexican American Studies may travel to Atlanta, Georgia to visit important sites of the civil rights movement, or to New York City to visit places that have influenced the Hispanic community in our country.

Students from all over the district have already signed up and are going on their tours for the 2022-2023 school year! Not too late. Join us!
